So I was reading an article last week about how to grow your email list and found a paragraph which stood out:

The phrasing of the first sentence is actually how this action would translate in the blockchain space (via a nano-payment, so fractions of a cent).

Right now, when you signup for a newsletter, you perceive this to be “free.” But someone, somewhere, has to get paid from somewhere else in order to keep all the services surrounding that email and website.
