Dreams To Fuel Your Empire (Part 1): Legend of the Iron Wolf

Good morning!
This week, I'll be talking about the role dreams have had on some of the mightiest empires, tribes, and businesses in the world.
Since there are a lot of similarities between empire-building and community/company-building, I thought it would be great to look back into history and glean some insights for you.
If you've been following my journey, you'll know how much I love talking about dreams and their role in shaping my own career choices - regardless of the fact that I'm in tech or surrounded by very 'logical' minds. I think it's an area that isn't spoken much about a lot in business but can help guide you towards better decision-making if taken more seriously.

Legend of the Iron Wolf
When you read through the historical accounts of empires, you'll often come across stories of founders who had vivid dreams that led them to the founding of cities, the building of monuments, or even taking specific actions. Today's edition was actually sparked by the Lithuanian Legend of the Iron Wolf, which was recorded around the year 1323.
Lithuania's Grand Duke, Gediminas, had a dream about an iron wolf howling on top of a mountain. He had a priest interpret the dream for him, who stated that it foretold "centuries of glory for Lithuania."
As a result, the Duke built a beautiful castle on top of the mountain he pictured in his dream. Lithuania then grew into a great power with its allies, Poland. The success of the Lithuanian-Polish alliance lasted over 400 years, with the "Iron Wolf's howl" heard for centuries throughout Europe.
