In a recent Spanish class, my friend Juan Diego (@spanishacks) and I discussed the story of the Tower of Babel.

This ancient Biblical tale tells how humanity once shared a language and built a tower to reach “the Heavens.” However, angered by this overreach, God scattered them across the globe in different languages so it would be harder for them to collaborate. Humans were becoming “too powerful.”

Our discussion propelled us into considering modern times as we noted an existing app called "Babel." Interestingly enough, its purpose aligned well with our topic; it helps people understand each other's languages.
